Community Groups gather to live life together, experience the gospel, wrestle with the truths of the Bible, love one another and reach the city God’s placed us in, participating in the mission of God.

When you hear the word “church,” the image that comes to mind may be a large crowd of people listening to teaching from the scriptures. And that’s good. The book of Acts describes Christians as being devoted to biblical truth.

But that’s not the whole story. The first church was more than just a meeting on Sunday. Believers met together in each other’s homes, prayed together and ate together. The result of all this togetherness? They had “glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people.”

At Gulf Coast Community Church, you have an opportunity to experience the shared life of faith described above in our Community Groups. These are smaller gatherings of people, from all walks of life, who meet in homes throughout the Tampa Bay area.

Although the groups are small, the impact on your life can be big. You can develop friendships, receive practical insights on applying truth to your life, and cultivate your God-given gifts to make an impact in the lives of others. And together, your Community Group can practically demonstrate the power of the Gospel in your neighborhood and city.

Whether you have been at Gulf Coast Community Church one week or one year, we want to encourage you to visit a Community Group. Getting connected at Gulf Coast Community Church goes beyond the Sunday morning Gatherings into living life together.  Community Groups are a primary vehicle at Gulf Coast for doing this. Sunday Gatherings are a time of worshipful celebration together in song, communion and the preached Word. Community Groups are about discipling one another, connecting with one another, serving one another in love.   It’s our desire that everyone who calls Gulf Coast Community Church their home will be an active member in one of our Community Groups.
