Youth Ministry

Many consider the teen years to be a time of turmoil and rebellion that hopeless parents must suffer through. But we believe that this season of life affords a prime opportunity to prepare our children for the responsibilities of adulthood, and for living the abundant life that Christ offers. Teens and parents gather for teaching, worship, food, and fun. In addition to these meetings are regularly scheduled events and outings. Our youth learn a biblical perspective on church, family, friends and much more. As we minister to our youth and their families, we endeavor to support the parents’ primary role in training their children to lead lives that glorify God.

A “parent equipping” youth ministry

What does that mean? It means we want to honor the God-given role of parents in the lives of their students. We recognize that these times are precious and you will never have the opportunity sitting in front of you every day (in the form of your teen). Our desire is to see parents involved in our meetings, our events, and of course the personal lives of their own students. If you are a single parent or can’t be at the monthly meetings we still want your student to participate! If you are a student and your family doesn’t attend the church we still want you to participate!

However, in a time when many parents feel the need to “retreat” or let their student be “on their own,” we’re asking that the parents get all the more involved.

“Parent equipping youth ministry” means that you, the parent, take the lead in discipling your student. It means that you make every effort to be at our corporate meetings not just because we’ve invited you attend but to listen, apply and interact with the teachings.

Our calling is to come along side you. We want to equip you.

Finding and providing resources, seminars, community groups, corporate meetings like re:generation or a:lumination, prayer meetings, and pastoral availability for you and your student is a very important goal of ours.

If you’re a single parent, then life looks a lot different for you at home. We understand that. Help us see the areas we can specifically serve you.

Special events

We don’t want our special events to be a burden – we want them to be a joy! We are not into “activity for activities sake” and we desire to honor your time by being as strategic as possible with our events.

So here you are!

You are in the middle of an amazing opportunity and what you do with the seemingly mundane opportunities of life has an eternal impact. As you invest in your student’s life you are making a contribution that’s worth infinitely more than any career or financial accomplishment. You have been given the privilege of being the primary agent of change in your student’s life. You have been given the opportunity to disciple, model, lead and encourage, and we see it as a great privilege to come along side you in that.

Consider us partners for the advance of the Gospel.
