Despite the cross and all it accomplished, some Christians still think we live by the standards of the world. It was true in Paul’s day and it is true today. Quite the contrary. Although we live in the world, we do not wage war the same way the world does. Paul didn’t; and in following him as he followed Christ, we shouldn’t. How then does the Christian wage war? What kind of battle plan have we been given?

We have different weapons. Ours are not fleshly. And our weapons, in God, have all the power we can possibly need to destroy strongholds – to pull down reasonings or lies. We demolish arguments… how? With different weapons, the weapons which only in God have all the power necessary to win this battle. With those weapons the truth of Christ conquers the lies of the enemy and sets people free!

What are these weapons? How do we do this warfare? What is the Battle Plan? What does any of this have to do with the cross?
