Speaker: Jerry Cisar | Series: Who Is Like God? | Book: Micah

Speaker: Jerry Cisar

You’ve heard of missionaries, and have probably even heard of medical missionaries. But have you ever heard of “attorney missionaries”? Is it even biblical to talk like that? This Sunday two things are coming together. We are going to be highlighting a mission organization that is carrying out a vital Kingdom work (bringing justice to the nations – Isaiah 42:1) in the name of Christ through missionary attorneys and social workers. It is truly a cross bearing ministry.

This coincides with our exposition of Micah 7:1-7. Back when we agreed to highlight this ministry on September 24, I was a little disappointed that we couldn’t just weave it into our series in Micah, especially this section. However, after a few unexpected interruptions to the series, providentially it has worked out that they do indeed coincide.

A careful read of the Gospels reveals that when Jesus came He was looking for something and couldn’t find it. In Micah 7, we find that Micah (and YHWH) are looking for that same thing and cannot find it. Join us in worship as explore what was missing. We will explore it under three headings: 1) Missing Fruit, 2) Missing Faithful, and 3) Missing Friends and Family.

Maybe you know someone who might benefit from learning about this ministry. It may envision them for what they do here. It may help expand their thinking about how they might be used by the Lord. Please take time to forward this to them and invite them to join you Sunday.
