What does it mean to be made in the image and likeness of God? Much has been said about what this means. Is it our intelligence, or moral characteristics? Some have thought it had something to do with walking upright, others that it means we have a spirit. How are we to understand it?

It is important to know the answer to this question because being made in God’s image and likeness has everything to do with the purpose for which we were created. In order to understand what it means to be made in God’s image and likeness we must first understand the purpose for which God created the world.

Join us this Sunday as we continue to explore the purpose for which God created the world, and then as we uncover what is at the core of being made in God’s image and likeness. When we do, we will discover why it will require courage on our part to live in line the God’s purpose for our lives.
