Speaker: Jerry Cisar

When all is said and done, the church of our Lord Jesus will not be the church of your expectations. I don’t know what your expectations are, but I can assure you that if the church will not be what John the apostle expected, it will not be what you expect either.

Of course you may ask, “How do you know that the church will not be what John the apostle expected?” Fair question. Answer: Because the book of Revelation records the expectation John had, and then tells us how radically different the church will look when all is said and done. What John saw in his vision was not what he expected.

Join us in worship for part 8 of our series, The Church: A Spiritual Community, as we explore the glorious truth about the church in the book of Revelation, and also see how it connects to the very gospel which was proclaimed throughout the rest of the New Testament. The church is a community in which the gospel has destroyed every racial, ethnic, social, economic barrier. It is a community in which our fellowship with people radically different than us is not only possible, but required! Salvation will be completed only when peoples from every nation, tribe, and tongue are joined together as one people of God.
