Jerry has 33 years of pastoral ministry experience (most of which was good), and has served all but ten of those years as preaching pastor here at Gulf Coast Community Church. Jerry believes in biblical preaching. Most often this takes the form of exposition of a particular text in which he strives to make the point or argument of the text of scripture the point or argument of the sermon. It can also take the form of sermons that preach key ideas across the canon of Scripture or connecting different parts of that canon in biblically informed ways.
Jerry and his wife Donna have been married for 40 years and have four adult children, four sons and daughter in laws, and eight grandchildren. Jerry completed a Masters of Theological Studies through the Distance Learning program at Calvin Seminary (Grand Rapids) in 2020.
